Astrologically speaking, planet Venus signifies what we value most in our lives. The event, VENUS RISING, is meant to act as a forum for the celebration and sharing of what people value most about astrology itself.
We invite you to join with us here on Cortes Island , no matter what your level of experience is, to explore how astrology can best be brought into day-to-day life for the highest good of all.
Everyone is welcome to attend and all registrants are invited to become speakers on Saturday by addressing our theme question: What astrological experiences and/or tools have impacted you most profoundly in your day-to-day living?
Owing to time constraints, the number of speakers may have to be limited, in which case, speakers will be chosen in order of registration. The precise order of speaking presentations will be assigned according to the phase of the Moon at each speaker's birth. This represents an innovative form of group communication called lunation council.

JUNE 21, 2001: SUMMER SOLSTICE CEREMONY

Location: DWAYNE ROURKE'S PROPERTY, GREEN MOUNTAIN.
JUNE 22, 2001: GROUP ORIENTATION RITUAL AND REVELATION OF MOON PHASE AT BIRTH.
Time: 5 pm
Location: GORGE HALL
Includes pot luck dinner : Please bring something to share.
During this evening's session, we will begin to reveal the content and order of the next day's presentation.
JUNE 23, 2001: LUNATION COUNCIL AND SOLSTICE CELEBRATION
Registrants who have volunteered to speak will address our theme question: What astrological experiences/tools have impacted you most profoundly in your day-to-day living?

Bring an instrument and be prepared to jam and/or dance. Local arts, crafts and goods for sale. (Please contact us in advance, if you wish to provide this service.) Net proceeds will be donated to the Gorge Hall Roof Renovation Project.
