Teaching, knowledge, understanding, time/space travel,
angelic messenger, fluid reference points, balancing of opposites, courage and
compassion, working in harmony with others, pillars of Heaven and Earth uniting.


Feathered Serpent, as an incarnated historical exemplar, has been called “bright guide of interior reflection.” In the thirteenth and final sector of The Temple of Fingers and Toes we find what could be deemed to be a calling card for all who attain this level of self-mastery. For, as the engine of psychological transformation empowering the whole of our journey into the inner precincts of The Temple of Fingers and Toes, THIRTEEN BEN amply represents such an introspective process: THIRTEEN, the number representative of universal movement and of light itself, combines with hieroglyph BEN, cosmic signature of courage, teaching, mysterious journeys and all forms of time/space travel.

What we are talking about when we speak of time/space travel is the expansion of human awareness through vibratory resonance with increasingly vast realms of consciousness. On The Lightning Path we are guided into these realms through the timeless spiritual messages coded into the numbers and glyphs of the Tzolkin, astrology, the I Ching and the chakra system. What we experience when we follow this guidance is revelation of an interconnected field of consciousness linking each and every one of us to a common spiritual ancestor, as depicted in the following two paintings.
